Orlando Bloom wows celebrity rock chicks with punk performance
If he ever gets bored of his day job Pirates Of The Caribbean star Orlando Bloom may have a future in rock. Belting out tracks at a charity event with a pout worthy of a young Mick Jagger, the actor looked very much a wild man of music.
His appearance on stage - where he was accompanied by Mick Jones, guitarist and legendary founder of punk outfit The Clash - was especially authentic as he's grown his hair longer for a new film role as a DJ.
The guys had come together for Mummy Rocks!, a Mother's Day event in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
Wednesday's gig thrilled a 'rock mum' audience which included Kate Moss and Sadie Frost, both of whom have dated musicians.
As they bopped in the audience, the ladies also had the opportunity to try on some precious gems at Garrard, the exclusive jewellery store where the concert was held.
Another highlight of the evening came when Mick Jones from The Clash got up to perform and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom rushed up to join the rocker.
“People couldn’t believe it when Orlando went up and started singing along with Mick to their classic hit, Should I Stay or Should I Go,” added our source. “He was in high spirits and definitely made it a night remember.”
