Orlando Bloom REALLY wants me now
(please refer to the other post entitled, "Orlando Bloom Wants Me").
Ok, so finally something exciting has happened in my life worth writing about. And, let me just say that it was...destiny. (haha)
but, really...what are the chances that I would meet my Hollywood crush - Orlando Bloom - not once, but TWICE in the past 4 months. I have barely met ANYONE famous before moving to South Beach, let alone dreaming of meeting my number one celebrity guy right now.
So, yesterday I was working at the News Cafe, and as usual it was just another 'Bloody Sunday'. I had been counting the hours until I could finally sit down and take a breath, and about 15 minutes efore my shift ended, I spotted none other than Orlando Bloom out of the corner of my eye entering the restaurant with Kate Bosworth in tow. I nearly fainted on sight (not kidding) especially when he started to sit at my table, but then went one table over to my friend Michael's section. Since I knew Michael probably had no idea who Orlando Bloom was, I went up to him and offered him any kind of money if he would let me take the table. Since he could see I was in a swoon, he gladly let me have it, and I just stood there for about 30 seconds kind of shaking.
For those of you who don't understand...this isn't just any celebrity sighting. This was THE celebrity sighting. I am totally in Hollywood love with Orlando Bloom. He has taken the place of Johnny Depp since I decided he is getting a bit old for me now ;) And Nik is convinced that I only want to see a movie because Orlando Bloom is in it. (He's probably not THAT far off here) I was totally shaking when I was walking up to the table to say hello and take their order, but somehow when I got there I was able to smile and just talk to them like anyone else. I was SOOO embarrassed because there I am - finally able to meet a hot celebrity, and I am wearing...my work clothes. YUCK!!! With coffee stains, and aching feet - this is how I get to have my picture taken with a celeb...NICE.
All in all, they were AWESOME - as far as celebrities goes. Kate and Orlando addressed me as Christine the whole time, and they were so sweet. I managed a quick and frantic call to Nik to tell him to get over to the cafe ASAP if he wanted to meet Orlando Bloom. Nik came with the camera, and at first I was hesitant to ask for a picture because I didn't want to cause a scene in the restaurant. I first just decided to ask for their autographs, which they gladly gave and addressed them both to me personally, and then later when some people asked for photos, I decided at the end to ask Orlando for a photo while Kate was talking to some other table about being from Massachusetts. At one point, Nik and Orlando were sitting right next to eachother and it was the coolest photo. But, they didn't want any pictures taken with camera phones, and it was too dark for me to take the picture inside :(
Orlando was reading a new script, and I chatted with them for a while about where they were headed, and such. It was definately very very cool.
I have been hearing all about the celebrities that come and eat at the Cafe but I am never there for it - and now, I don't really care who else comes in unless it's Chris Martin or maybe Oprah :D
Anyway - just had to share :D Enjoy the pics. I will try to scan the autographs soon but it's almost 2am here now...off to bed!
