法國網站消息，法國男演員Johnny Halliday會參演「紅圈」的伊芙.蒙丹當時演出的角色呢。Johnny有份演出杜琪峰今年參賽康城影展的電影「復仇」。

文章主要說Johnny Halliday(法國搖滾樂星，將參與紅圈拍攝)早在70年已經被邀請拍攝原裝紅圈的Gian一角，可是當時他出車禍，而製作人找一位意大利人演出，所以他沒有演成。原裝導演梅維爾一直覺得很遺憾，所以新版紅圈可算圓了導演的夢。

提到杜琪峰導演一件趣事，他的辨公室的牆都貼滿了紅圈的劇本，四處都佈滿劇本的紙張。

在文章開首提到杜導，他拍攝的時候不喜歡多談，他希望演員能夠明白演出他想要的效果。他說Johnny的眼神能夠說話，很吸引人。譯者說是不是因為開花同樣有迷人就眼神，所以杜導選中他？

In fact the article talks about the fact that Johnny Halliday should have had the role Gian Maria Volonte plays in the first movie The red circle in 1970 ..but he had an car accident and co production rules wanted an italian actor . It seems Melville (the director) always regretted this and so this is a real complete "circle"
Interesting it is mentioned that To has the script of the red circle all pinned on the walls of his office and scattered about .
Earlier in the article ( I didn't bother to translate all because it's all about Johnny Halliday) it is said that To doesn't like to much talking in his films and wants the actors to do exactly what he wants them to do. He says that what draws him in Halliday are his eyes , that say much more than his words.
May be that's what made him choose Orlando too?(that's my guess )

THR: You are also known for working on many projects at the same time. Yet quite recently there was a year when you didn't have a camera in your hands. What happened?

To: Reputations linger. I haven't really been like that in the past three years and I don't want to work on multiple projects. I will aim to set my schedule better in the future. Actually, after completing "Sparrow," there was a 12-month period before I started "Vengeance." In that time I was very busy developing the script for "Red Circle."

THR: Early preparations started on "Red Circle" and then stopped. Is the picture ever going to happen?

To: It needs time. I'm not satisfied with the script and if I'm not satisfied nobody else is going to be. But it is absolutely one of my priorities as you can see (points to the wall where script notes are plastered.) "Death of a Hostage," which is a Hong Kong production through Media Asia, is probably what I'll shoot next. Then, hopefully, "Red Circle."

晨报讯(记者 杨莲洁)北京时间昨天晚上，杜琪峰携英文新片《复仇》现身戛纳，角逐金棕榈大奖。杜琪峰还透露下一部拍片计划，他的新作《红圈》将于今年6月在澳门开机，已经签下主演奥兰多·布鲁姆，另一主演周润发还在洽谈中。
　　《复仇》的主角是一位退隐江湖的独行杀手(约翰尼·哈里戴)。在退出江湖之后，哈里戴以厨师身份平淡度日，但女儿一家不幸遇害，迫使他再度出山，远赴香港展开复仇行动。杜琪峰表示，这是自己第一次用英文拍片，遇到了很大的挑战，所幸结果不错。杜琪峰表示，自己之所以尝试英文拍片，是希望借此了解西方不同的电影理念，并把这种理念带到香港电影中来。
　　不仅是入围金棕榈的《复仇》，杜琪峰正在筹备中的《红圈》也备受关注。《红圈》是法国名导梅尔维尔的同名电影的翻拍版，讲述三个大盗与国际刑警斗智斗勇的故事。杜琪峰昨天透露，这部筹备已久的影片即将于今年6月在澳门开拍。男主角方面已经签下了奥兰多·布鲁姆，至于另一位自己属意的男演员周润发也正在协调档期。据悉，奥兰多对这个剧本一见钟情，立即答应出演，周润发却因为档期问题辞演。奥兰多得知后居然多次打电话给发哥，希望他接演这部影片。在杜琪峰和奥兰多的双重劝说下，发哥终于答应协调档期，出演本片。这也是自《加勒比海盗》之后，发哥与奥兰多·布鲁姆的再次合作。
