*If you're Cameron Crowe, you have to be pretty happy. You're movie overcame many bad reviews, mostly based on people expecting something better from you, to a nice healthy opening. Elizabethtown is close to Wallace and Gromit this weekend, and managed to draw enough people out of curiosity, or loyalty, or both. If audiences prove to like it, what critics say may not even matter anymore. It probably helped that Crowe trimmed the movie down from the version shown in Toronto, which critics and audiences pretty much panned outright. Time will tell on this one, but one thing's for sure: People ARE willing to see Orlando Bloom in a movie that takes place in modern times.*
