From TRACK TUTORIAL
T r a c k T u t o r i a l
Here is an easy tutorial to help you break any of these recordings into parts so that you can burn them onto CDs if you want to.
1. Download Audacity onto your computer.
o This is an easy to use freeware editing program.
2. Download CD to Mp3 Coverter 1.8 onto your computer.
o This freeware program will allow you to convert your .WAV files into .MP3 files.
3. Download an MC audio book.
4. Open the book on Audacity and open a blank Audacity project.
5. Select as much audio as you want to be your first piece and cut it out of the Book Project and paste it onto the Blank Project.
6. On the Blank Project, click "Export as WAV" and save the file to your Desktop.
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 until you have broken the entire Book Project into the pieces you want.
8. Open your CD to Mp3 Converter. It will come up with a page asking if you want to register click "Skip". If you don't have a CD in your player it will come up with an Error message saying "Please Check if have Audio CD in your CD device", just click "Ok".
9. Set where you want your files to go by going to "Edit" and clicking "Options". Where it says "Output Directory" put the location of the folder where you want your converted files to go, or just send them to the desktop.
10. Click "File" and then "WAV to MP3". It will come up with a browse folder, go to your desktop and select all the .WAV files and then click "Open". It will then convert all your files to .MP3 and put them in the folder you designated.
That's it! You can burn the seperate tracks onto a CD using any number of CD burners including RealPlayer or Windows Media Player.
One Hint: After your done breaking your project into parts, I highly suggest deleting all the project backup files as well as the .WAV versions of the pieces, because they take up a lot of space.
