Now, questions:
1. The Paris/Helen love scene...is it on furs?
2. When you mentioned that this is Orlando's best acting so far, could you elaborate?
3. What are those hairclips in the characters' hair?
4. Why don't I have any serious questions? I think my brain is fried with all the Paris pics!
1. Sorry to say, there wasn't a "love scene". They were naked, thats all. They were talking and Paris gave Helen a necklace. I don't think that there were any furs on the bed.
2. I thought that the scene when Paris is fighting Menelaus was his best scene in the movie. Paris crawls to Hector and the fear in Paris's eyes was so intense.
3. The hairclips in his hair are there for show; Hector has them too.
4. These ARE serious questions.
What?! No furs?! No making out like weasels in heat?! Rats!
Another question, how sympathetic is Paris in this film. I gather he comes across as quite unlikeable at first but it seems as if the audience might gain a small measure of sympathy for him. At least that is the impression I got from some test screening reviewers.
At first, Paris isn't liked much because he stole Helen from Menelaus. Then he is a coward in the fight between him and Menelaus, but in the end he redeems himself. He fights more.
Spoilers! Highlite to read.
Paris isn't sympathetic towards Menelaus because Paris wants Helen for himself. The audience does begin to feel sympathy towards Paris because they know how much he loves Helen and the fact that he gets a beating from Menelaus.
Wait a minute. I feel like I should mod this.
Now for a real serious question: Do we ever see Paris in a bath?
Actually, what I'd like to know is whether this feels like an epic? Does it feel like something that will be a classic?
No, unfortunately we never see Paris in a bath.
This would be considered an epic, but it plays out like a story. It is more about Achilles and what he goes through in his life. I would say that this wouldn't be a classic because of who is in it; they are not really big Hollywood stars right now. Granted that Orlando is the IT boy right now and Brad Pitt is a well known actor, but they aren't considered among the big names in Hollywood right now. Lets hope that it will all change in the future.
i have a question..paris doesn't die or anything right??? because i saw some screencaps and it looked like he got stabbed with a sword and like fell to the ground..did he die or just get injured..??
Lucky lucky wotsit you! Thank you so much for coming and telling us about it. The part that you mentioned as being Orlando's best scene is the one I guessed would be. I know that I will feel so sorry for him and yet so disgusted by him at the same time at that bit, I can't wait to see it.
My question: How do you get to see movie previews?
Paris does NOT die in the movie. He is severly beaten by Menelaus, but he DOES NOT die.
I saw Hidlago on Sunday, March 7 and a woman was passing out a flyer for a Sneak Preview of a movie. They can't say what the movie is because then people would be biased toward the movie. I guess I was lucky that day.
Oh thank the Goddess! I don't think I could handle seeing him die... Much releaved I don't get to see Paris die in the movie! Thank you!
And I can't say I have any questions as EL, Serein (your question about the bath nearly undid me btw - not sure I could live seeing that! ) and the rest have asked all the important questions. Thank you ladies and thank you for being able to answer them for us
Everything that you see in the trailers is in the movie. The movie may change, like so many do, but for now what you see is what you will get.

1- Is the scene from the trailer where Helen says 'They're coming for me' (Orlando in a black robe) in the film??
Yes, this scene IS in the movie.

2- Also wanted to know if that scene where Paris is in full armor and Helen appears to remove her dress is in the final cut?
This scene is also in the movie.

3- After the battle with Menelaus, is there a Paris/Helen scene (taking care of her poor, injured darling ) and if so, what takes place???
Unfortunately, there is not a scene like this. I wish there was.
There is a scene with Helen and Paris where they are both naked. You can see Paris just low enough to not see his whatsits and Helen is sitting on the bed. Paris gives Helen a necklace and when she goes to sit up, her right breast is shown for a second or so.

1. Do we get to see Achilles dragging the Body of Hector around after he has killed him?
Yes, this scene is in the movie. Achilles gets really angry at Hector for killing Achilles younger cousin, Particlus, so Achilles goes and fights Hector, kills him, and drags his body back to their camp.

2. Do we get to see the scene between Priam and Meneleus when Priam begs for his son's body back?
Yes, this scene is also in the movie. But the scene is between King Priam and Achilles, not Menelaus (Menelaus is already dead at this point; he was killed by Hector). Priam sneaks into the tent of Achilles and asks him for his son's body. Achilles hesitates, but gives Hector's body to his father and before he does, Achilles cries over Hector's body (probably because of the guilt and shame of everything and everybody he has killed). Achilles then, promises that the Trojans will have 12 days of peace for the funeral, but then the Trojan Horse is made and you know the rest of the story.

that scene that u said that she responded by taking her dress off like in the trailer is she literally naked, or is she and they just dont show it, or does she have something on after she takes off her dress.
In the scene you are talking about Helen's breasts are not shown, but in another scene after that.
I have to admit I am confused. Menelaus is killed by Hector? Now, it's been awhile since I've read the mythology of the Trojan War, but I could have sworn at the end of the War, Menelaus was still alive and that Helen, using her wiles, concinved him to take her back, and because he loved her he did and they returned to Sparta?
Angel
You're not confused, Angel! In Benioff's adaptation, one of the biggest changes is Menelaus' death by Hector.
In the myth cycle, Helen does return to Sparta after Philocetes kills Paris and one of the survivors of the sack of Troy, Aeneas, goes on to found Rome (well, the Romans liked the idea at any rate!).
Helen, Hector's wife, Briseis, Paris, and others escape from Troy through a series of tunnels. It doesn't say where they go, they just escape. As far as I know Paris and Helen remain together. Paris and Helen are still in love and they leave with the others through the tunnels.
The film ends after Troy is done burning; it doesn't go into what happens after Troy in taken.
Paris' reaction to Hector's death is like in LOTR. Like when he sees Gandalf and Boromir die. He doesn't say anything, but you can see that it hurts him in his eyes.
After Hector's death, Paris does seem to realize what he has done. He becomes more confident in his fighting and takes things in his own hands. He becomes more brave.
