像《悲惨世界》这样的好故事，不论是用小说、电影、还是音乐的方式来表达，都是一样令人震撼。我个人偏爱音乐剧，是因为在这种方式最直接带你进入个角色的内心世界，将原本复杂交错的故事，娓娓在你耳边倾诉。电影受篇幅限制，往往不得不放弃许多角色的许多内心表达；而小说的表达显得过于铺陈而不精炼。
好的改编，便是这样精华尽在而绝无累述。加上这部号称四大音乐剧之首的力作，其音乐与词作实在是其他音乐剧所无法比拟的。
下面我就详细介绍一下这部我喜欢的音乐剧力作！！！
（基本上是对伦敦纪念演出的印象）



（一） 合唱
合唱是最能体现音乐剧气势的表现方式，在表现大环境大背景上非常具有优势，也是震撼观众的首选方式。这不音乐剧之所以如此好评如潮，很大程度上是因为合唱部分尤其出彩，令人印象深刻。
1． Do you hear the people sing? 可曾听见人民的歌声？
这是本剧的最激进主题，曾多次旋律再现，气势磅礴。（而且还朗朗上口呢！）
由学生领袖Enjolras领唱的这一段，是经典中的经典哦！我尤其喜欢他们把“心声”与“鼓声”对比起来的说法。很有鼓舞人心的力量。
Do you hear the people sing? Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people，Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart，Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start ，When tomorrow comes!
Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade Is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight，That will give you the right to be free!

2． One day more 再等一天
这首歌见于第一幕结尾，它的伟大之处在于用同一主题揭露所有人的心声！它真的做到了！第一幕结尾时，几乎所有的人都出场，每个人各有各的心事，各有各的憧憬。Jean Valjean当时发现危险，想要带Cosette走；Cosette与Marius正沐浴在爱河里，而Eponine正在为此事伤心，学生们正在为即将到来的革命热血沸腾，Javert则代表着当权派警惕。就连Thénardier夫妇都在大环境中蠢蠢欲动。。。居然音乐还是做到十分和谐！
这首歌让我在第一幕结束时，根本不想幕间休息。
小小节选一下：（非连贯）
Valjean: One day more! Another day, another destiny.
Marius & Cosette: Tomorrow you’ll be worlds away, And yet with you, my world has started!
Eponine: One more day all on my own.
Enjolras: One more day before the storm!

3． Drink with me 与我共饮
你以为学生们就是血气方刚？不然！这首Drink with me自有一份悲凉与沧桑，多思与感慨Will the world remember you when you fall，是一种无奈，也是一种无畏。
女声合唱部分尤其让人思绪万千。
Feuilly: Drink with me to days gone by.Sing with me the songs we knew
Prouvaire: Here’s to pretty girls who went to our heads.
Joly: Here’s to witty girls who went to our beds.
All: Here’s to them and here’s to you!
Grantaire: Drink with me to days gone by. Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember you, When you fall?
Could it be your death Means nothing at all?
Is your life just one more lie?

4． 其它：Work song, Turning，Master of the house. Lovely lady
Work song 是开场。。。我发现许多好的音乐剧作品，开场都是劳工或奴隶的大合唱什么的。主题一般是铁链、自由汗水之类，虽说是俗套，但是开场一定要做到声势浩大，Jean Valjean与Javert立刻就出现，24601的号码马上印入听众的心里，不能不说是一个有力的开场！我尤其佩服那些合唱中独唱一两句的囚犯，虽然唱词少，但是明显对唱功要求很高！声线各异的几位“跑龙套”演员实在令我钦佩！
小炒一段“work song”
Look down, look down, Don’t look ’em in the eye. Look down, look down, You’re here until you die
Look down, look down, You’ll always be a slave. Look down, look down, You’re standing in your grave
　　
Turning 是革命失败后，几个女市民唱得歌，交待了革命普通人的影响，虽仍很短小，但是很漂亮，很点醒。也很感人。
Did you see them，Going off to fight? Children of the barricade，Who didn’t last the night?
Did you see them，Lying where they died? Someone used to cradle them，And kiss them when they cried.
Did you see them lying side by side? Who will wake them? No one ever will. No one ever told them，That a summer day can kill.
Turning, turning, turning through the years. Minutes into hours and the hours into years.
　　
Thénardier夫妇那首热热闹闹的master of the house不仅仅是喜剧意味，也是对世态的总结啊！
Welcome, M’sieur Sit yourself down And meet the best Innkeeper in town
Master of the house Doling out the charm. Ready with a handshake And an open palm
But nothing gets you nothing Everything has got a little price!
　　
另外小小提一下lovely lady， 登徒子与与妓女们的对唱与合唱，很有趣味性。

（二） 重唱
请注意重唱与合唱的区别哦！重唱是分声部、分音阶的。在故事叙述上，是表达人物感情交流的方式，在艺术形式上，更是演员们一起拼功力的方式。
1. Fantine之死+The Confrontation 冲突
激烈过一段以后，委婉一下，Fantine这一首come to me是母亲面对一个幻想中的孩子唱得，很美很美。
Come to me, Cosette, the light is fading. Don’t you see the evening star appearing?
Come to me, and rest against my shoulder. How fast the minutes fly away and every minute colder.
Hurry near, another day is dying. Don’t you hear, the winter wind is crying?
There’s a darkness which comes without a warning.
But I will sing you lullabies and wake you in the morning.
光亮在变暗，一天将要结束，她的生命也将要结束。Jean Valjean加入。
下一段的三种唱，是Fantine“托孤”Jean Valjean的“责任”和Javert的“冷面无私”
我比较喜欢，Fantine的声音降下去以后，Jean Valjean和Javert的对唱，这一段两人唱得曲调和节奏完全不一样（因为是表达冲突），居然能做到让听众对两个人的唱词都听得一清二楚，我实在要佩服创作者！！！这描述是有点奇怪，但是这美妙是语言无法表达的了。。
　　
2. In my life+ A heart full of life我的生命——心中充满生命
在Cosette 的独唱中加入Marius的心声，表明她的生命中从此多了Marius这样一个人，但与二人甜蜜的爱情相比，隐身在门后的Eponine的女中音加入，更令此歌打动听众。Marius也同样在她生命中，虽然这并不为别人所知晓。C 与 M的歌声是“和谐”的，Eponine的柔美歌声游离在两位之外，清晰而扣人心玄。
Marius: A heart full of love
Cosette: A heart full of you
Marius: A single look and then I knew
Cosette: I knew it too
Marius: From today
Cosette: Every day
Cosette & Marius: For it isn’t a dream Not a dream after all.
Eponine: (Interjecting) He was never mine to lose Why regret what cannot be? These are words he’ll never say Not to me
　　
3. litte full of rain 润物细雨
我一直觉得Eponine的角色对演员的要求最大，因为她音域需要很广，她时而是女高音，时而是花腔，时而中音，在这首歌里，她甚至是女低音，她要比Marius的男声唱得跟低一个音阶！！！！！
这就是为什么我会如此崇拜伦敦纪念版的歌手Lea Salonga（请抽空注意一下我的ID，我的中间名是跟她起的！）这是在说Eponine之死，电影里这一场景也给我留下了深刻的影响，“圣诞节亲我一下好吗？”，这里变成了“放心吧，润物细雨不会弄痛我了。”
Eponine: So don’t you fret, M’sieur Marius，I don’t feel any pain
A little fall of rain，Can hardly hurt me now
Marius: (in counterpoint) Hush-a-bye, dear Eponine, You won’t feel any pain
A little fall of rain，Can hardly hurt you now
Eponine: And you will keep me safe,And you will keep me close
Marius: (in counterpoint) I will stay with you,Till you are sleeping
Eponine: And rain...
Marius: And rain...
Eponine: Will make the flowers...
Marius: Will make the flowers... grow...
最后一个grow她没有唱出来，只有Marius一人的声音，我的眼泪涌了出来。
　　
4. Finale结束曲
结束的这段重唱，其实旋律已经重现过N次，即Fangine那首come to me, 这里come to me
已经引申为come to heaven了。这一段“爱的主题”再次融入了Fantine清亮的高音与Eponie的中音（在天堂的人们），使全剧最催泪与点题的高潮部分。

Valjean: Forgive me all my trespasses。And take me to your glory.
Fantine and Eponine: Take my hand。And lead me to salvation.

To love another person。Is to see the face of God!
请大家用于记住这一点啊！To love another person。Is to see the face of God!

（三） 独唱
在我的眼里，独唱是角色的“发彪”！！！
所有重要人物都有至少一段“发彪”噢！这是对演员表演与唱功的最终考验，也是打动听众，让听众共鸣的最佳手段。该剧的“发彪”桥段实在太多太著名了！

1. Jean Valjean: who am I ?我是谁+ Bring him home守护着他
经典桥段之一的Trail审判中，这一段是Jean Valjean的自我审视，他不再逃避，正是直面自己的烙印！24601！多门震撼的数字！
Who am I? Can I condemn this man to slavery. Pretend I do not feel his agony
This innocent who bears my face. Who goes to judgement in my place
Who am I? Can I conceal myself for evermore? Pretend I’m not the man I was before?
And must my name until I die. Be no more than an alibi?
Must I lie?
Who am I? Who am I? I am Jean Valjean!
And so Javert, you see it’s true.That man bears no more guilt than you!
Who am I? 24601!
　　
Bring him home是对者熟睡的Marius所唱，是一个铁汉柔情的表述。使Jean Valjean形象更为丰富爆满。

2. Eponine: on my own 独自
这一段表述，何其伤感之至，我简直下不了手剪去任何词句。。。那一句A world that’s full of happiness That I have never known! 让我无比辛酸，爱情，就是如此没有道理可讲，牺牲，如同残阳血红，只有纯洁永远留在心中。。。。后来我还听过几个版本的on my own,唱得也柔美之至，但是没有人能像Lea Salonga那样具有爆发力，给我“力量”的震撼了。（这才叫真正的“发彪”噢！）

Without him, I feel his arms around me .
And when I lose my way I close my eyes, And he has found me
In the rain the pavement shines like silver. All the lights are misty in the river

3. Javert: stars星空+ Suicide自尽
Stars 这首歌，在DVD里给我的感觉，和现场看完全不同！我看DVD是感觉铿锵有力，而现场那星光一打，竟全部不是一个意境！Javert的内心世界立即展现在我的眼前，演员的唱法也与DVD里那位很大不同。我惊讶于同一首歌竟有如此不同的表现方式。Javert那一句till we come face to face实在是有血有肉！

与“星空”这首歌的挚诚鉴定相比，“自尽”冲毛矛盾与挣扎，在无法融合矛盾之中，Javert选择了不去选择，选择了自己的原则沉入塞纳河。
Who is this man? What sort of devil is he
To have me caught in a trap And choose to let me go free?
It was his hour at last To put a seal on my fate
Wipe out the past And wash me clean off the slate!
All it would take Was a flick of his knife.
Vengeance was his And he gave me back my life!

4. Fantine: I dreamed a dream 我曾有梦
这是是讲述Fantine的故事，小说是洋洋数章，这里一首歌，把她的过去尽数，是少女的梦，是四季的变化，是爱情的故事，是母亲的眼泪。
I dreamed a dream in time gone by. When hope was high ，and life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die. I dreamed that God would be forgiving
。。。
But the tigers come at night. With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart. And they turn your dream to shame
　　
He slept a summer by my side. He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride. But he was gone when autumn came
这首歌的特点是感情的转变，起初一段给人清纯希望的感觉，突然声调一沉，唱出“Tiger”那一段，演员的表情也随着歌声一起转变，唱到第三段是高潮，But he was gone when autumn came.句号！一段感情结束，一段无知岁月亦随之结束

5. Cosette: castle on a cloud 云中城堡
Jean Valjean逃跑以后，我们把眼睛转向小Cosette。其实，小cosette所唱之Castle on a Cloud是美丽的孩童在绝望中的梦想，是很值得推荐的。
There is a castle on a cloud, I like to go there in my sleep,
Aren’t any floors for me to sweep, Not in my castle on a cloud.
There is a lady all in white, Holds me and sings a lullaby,
She’s nice to see and she’s soft to touch, She says “Cosette, I love you very much.“
I know a place where no one’s lost, I know a place where no one cries,
Crying at all is not allowed, Not in my castle on a cloud.

6. Marius: empty chairs and empty table 古人不再
Marius的爱情主题，还远远够不上“发彪”的标准，这一出在咖啡馆里回忆昔日好友的歌曲，曲调优美凄婉，感情丰富，动人无比。Here they sang about `tomorrow’。And tomorrow never came
是无奈，也是觉醒。
There’s a grief that can’t be spoken. There’s a pain goes on and on.
Empty chairs at empty tables Now my friends are dead and gone.
Here they talked of revolution. Here it was they lit the flame.
Here they sang about `tomorrow’ And tomorrow never came.
Phantom faces at the window. Phantom shadows on the floor.
Empty chairs at empty tables Where my friends will meet no more.

7. 主教
Jean Valjean心灵洗礼,我记得小说里原来主教大人只叫Jean Valjean自己去想，但是，音乐剧里直接用唱得了。主教的声线温柔而清亮：
Come in, Sir, for you are weary, and the night is cold out there.
Though our lives are very humble. What we have, we have to share.
There is wine here to revive you. There is bread to make you strong,
There’s a bed to rest till morning, Rest from pain, and rest from wrong
　　
好一句：“Rest from pain, and rest from wrong！！！” 一个牧羊人的形象脱颖而出。
他“点题”那段如下：
But remember this, my brother，See in this some higher plan
You must use this precious silver，To become an honest man
记得小说里用了多少篇幅，才讲明白这个“赎取灵魂”的过程，可是这短短两句话唱得很清楚！因此Jean Valjean转变得十分具有说服力。
