Fans wearing wizard hats and elven cloaks joined families and teenagers cheering for the stars, including Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen and Liv Tyler. Bloom and Wood were particularly popular with the teenage girls, some of whom have had "I love Orlando" painted on their chests and arms. The biggest cheers, however, were reserved for director Peter Jackson, who led the motorcade of stars, hobbits, orcs and elves.

From Krissy: On 'Today' (Aust) Orlando was asked what he thought of Viggo Mortensen, and Orlando called him his 'mentor'. In reply, Viggo said that "it's amazing what people like Orlando can do on the screen... people that don't have scores of lines and can still have such an impact."

John Rhys-Davies says that Orlando Bloom is here with his mum. Rhys-Davies says "Thank you Wellington, you are the real stars of the show!"
John Rhys-Davies報道說，OB正和他的母親在首映禮的現場。Rhys-Davie還說，“謝謝威靈頓的人們，你們才是這次盛事真正的明星！”

Mrs Bloom says she is "fantastically proud of Orlando" She says "watch this space" in regard to the many marriage proposals to Orlando today and that LOTR is the 8th wonder of the world.

Orlando is signing as many things as quickly as possible for groups of young girls, who look overwhelmed with excitement

The stars walk off the podium, finishing with Orlando Bloom, who flashes his 'I love NZ' Tshirt to the crowd one more time.''

I spent two hours this afternoon watching the LOTR premiere parade, and it was wonderful to see that some many people turned out on a gorgeous day to welcome home the cast and crew. the capital city of NZ was also host to many overseas Tolkien and rings fans from many countries.


I watched the broadcast on Sky digital movie channel and one of the presenters was showing all the spots that were assigned to overseas media reps. Even CNN Turkey sent a crew!!! I saw only snippets of Orlando, after all this was everyone's day to shine; but he was wearing a red tshirt under his black jacket. The logo was I (heart) NZ. When speaking to the Sky rep he had lost his Mum again. Apprently everytime she saw a camera, she spoke to the reporter next to it!! In the parade he shared a car with Liv tyler. At one stage they were both covered in purple string that had been aerosol sprayed from above them.

我看的是天空數碼電影頻道的轉播，主持人向觀衆介紹了來自海外的衆\多媒體，甚至土耳其CNN台也派了人員前往現場報道。

Outside the Embassy theatre, there were quite a few speeches made. When Dom Monaghan was introduced he received a massive scream and cheer fromthe crowd, he told the crowd to "Pace yourselves. Don't peak too soon, Orlando will be here shortly". Sure enough, when Orlando was introduced next, the crowd went crazy - only Peter Jackson and Viggo Mortensen received cheers that were as loud.

The Embassy theatre only seats 750 people, so other cinemas around the Courtney Place are also showing the movie. This means that all the main cast will not be in the same theatre for the movie. After the speeches, golf carts were used to ferry some actors, such as Billy Boyd and John Rhys-Davies to some of the other theatres. This means that no one feels that they were less important in the proceedings. Very nice touch - very Kiwi attitude on the part of the organisers.

A very funny quip by Peter Jackson - he introduced Hugo Weaving as "Agent Elrond". Our Prime Minister, Helen Clark wore a beautiful floor length black gown, which was accessorised with a 'chain mail' shawl made by Weta Workshops. Incidentally, Peter Jackson commented that "when at Parliament for an official reception [before the parade began at 3.45pm (local time)], he joked that he had tried to get the overseas cast and crew inducted as New Zealand citizens in a mass citizenship ceremony - he then looked at Helen Clark who gave him the thumbs up. Not sure how that will work.

When Orlando made his speech, he said that it was nice to be back and that he hoped it would not be too long before he was 'back home'. Yes he actually said "BACK HOME".

Sean Astin made a very moving speech. He said 'that there is so much villiany and blackness in the world today, that it is nice to come to NZ and see such beautiful smiling, honest faces' and that 'NZ was such a beautiful place and New Zealanders were such beautiful people that he was proud to have spent so much of his time here in the last five years.'

刚刚从网上看到的：“The film opens in the US on December 17, most of Western Europe the next day and in Asia from December 20 onward.”

12月17日是魔戒的美国首映日，大部分西欧国家会在12月18日紧接着放映，亚洲是从12月20日开始（好像包括台湾～～）

Diana informed us that the Castillo de Loarre website has posted set pictures of Kingdom of Heaven. A little spanish village near Loarre is where they are building the castle for the movie.

电影魔戒的完结篇魔戒三部曲：王者再临，今天将在纽西兰举行全球首映会，虽然电影晚上才要开演，不过昨天天黑之后，就已经有影迷，前往首映会场威灵顿大使戏院外露宿，今天早上，队伍排得更长了。由于电影首映会，只有应邀的宾客才能入场观赏，这些影迷漏夜排队，只是为了一睹参加首映会的电影明星风采。（夏明珠报道）
配合魔戒三部曲的全球首映，今天在威灵顿，将有一项游行，预计会吸引十万人沿街观看，这势必会在人口三百多万的威灵顿造成轰动，游行终点就是大使戏院前的红地毯，大使戏院已经有79年历史，魔戒导演彼得杰克森这辈子第一部电影，就是在大使戏院看的。为了魔戒完结篇，戏院还重新装修，完全比照好莱坞的水准，不过由于戏院只有750个座位，而首映会邀请了两千位宾客，届时将有1250位宾客，必须到大使戏院附近别的厅院观赏。

影评人已经在昨天就抢先观赏魔戒三部曲，一般的反应是完结篇比前两集更精采，应该会成为明年奥斯卡最佳影片和导演奖项的大热门，不过由于美洲和欧洲要到十二月八号（sherley猜，应该是新闻的笔误）才会首演，应电影公司的要求，影评将在北美和欧洲首映之后再刊出。

魔戒的导演彼得杰克森，也和所有首映会的宾客一样，今天将是第一次完整的看到魔戒三部曲，虽然对自己的成绩，感到非常骄傲，不过彼得杰克森也承认，他很高兴魔戒没有第四集。

在魔戒之后，杰克森下一个重要的计划，是重拍经典的怪兽片金刚。
