From black screen apears Smeagol hooking a worm. He throws it in. Smeagol and Deagol are in a little boat, a fish bites Deagols.
Deagol: Smeagol! Smeagol! I caught a fish me!
Smeagol: Go on! Pul it in! Go on!
Deagol: Whooooaa!!!
Deagol gets pulled out of the boat, and into the water
Smeagol: Deagol?
Deagol is being pulled by a fish, he lets go. Deagol’s eyes open wide, he sees something. His hand grabs at something on the bottom of the pond, it’s a ring. Deagol pushes himself onto the bank. He pulls out the ring and begins to pet it.
Smeagol: Deagol!
Smeagol peeps over Deagol’s shoulder, and sees the ring.
Smeagol: Gives it to us my love.
Deagol: Why? I found it.
Smeagol: Because we wants it, and its our birthdays.
Deagol does not look, happy, and keeps looking at the ring. Smeagol tries to grab it from him. The two get into a fight. Smeagol pushes Deagol onto the ground, and gets on top of him, and begins to choke Deagol. Deagol is dead. Smeagol takes the ring from Deagol.
Smeagol: My precious!
Smeagol puts on the ring, and vanishes. He then reappears in the woods somewhere, dirty and wet.
Gollum: It cursed us. They called us murderer. They sent us away. And we wept, we wept. We went to the mountains, we forgot the taste of bread. The sound of trees. Even….our own name. My precious.
Next scene
Sam is asleep while Frodo is awake. Frodo is looking at the ring. He hears something, and puts it away quickly. Smeagol hangs down from above, and swings down.
Smeagol: Wake up sleepies! Wake up sillies!
Sam: Mr. Frodo! You haven’t had any sleep! I’ve gone and had to much.
Smeagol: Come on sillies! We must be moving!
Sam: Not till Mr. Frodo here has some rest.
The ground starts to shake violently.
Smeagol: Come on! No time to waste!
Sam: Here Mr. Frodo, have some food.
Frodo: What about you sam?
Sam: I’m getting a little tired of this Elven bread. Ok, we don’t have enough. You go ahead and have some of that Mr. Frodo. I’ve rationed it, we’ll have enough.
Frodo: For what?
Sam: For the journey home.
Frodo and Sam begin to walk with Smeagol into shrubs.
Next scene
Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, Eomer, and the rest of the Helm’s Deep gang are riding in the woods to Isenguard. “The Return of the King” appears on the screen. They arive at the edges of the forest, and you see Merry and Pippin sitting on a distructed wall of flooded Isenguard.
Pippin: I feel, like I feel when I just did hard days work.
Merry: Except…you’ve never had a hard days work! Hahahaha
Gimli: You young rascals! We’ve gone though all this searching and your smoking and eating…
Merry proudly puffs out some somoke. Gimlies eyes open.
Pippin: And eating salted pork!
Gimli: Salted pork!
The gang rides up into Isenguard, and rides thruogh the water to Treebeard.
Treebeard: The filth of Saruman is washing away. The young trees will surround him.
Gimli: Well lets just have his head and be done with it!
Gandalf: No. He has no power any more.
Pippin looks into the water, and sees something glowing brightly in the water. He hopes off the Aragorn’s horse.
Aragorn: Pippin!
Pippin reaches into the water, and pulls up the palantir.
Gandalf: I’ll be taking that.
Gandalf stretches his arms out towards Pippin. Not willingly, he gives it up to Gandalf, who wraps it in a cloth. Merry looks at Gandalf, almost in a evil way.
Next scene
The gang is now riding across the fields of Rohan towards Edoras.
Next scene
We are now inside Edoras, in a great hall. Aragorn is speaking infront of the Rohan people.
Aragorn: Let us remember those who died. Hail the victorious dead!
Roahan People: Hail!
Merry and Pippin are dancing, drinking, and singing on a wooden table with a large crowd around it. When they finish everybody claps. Eowyn looks better than ever, and gives a goblet of something to Aragorn. Aragorn accepts and drinks out of it. They both smile at each other. Aragorn leaves, and Theoden approaches Eowyn.
Theoden: You have found a very noble man.
Eowyn: You are both noble men.
Theoden: It was not King Theoden who led his people to victory.
We see Gandalf and Aragorn away front the crowd.
Aragorn: Every day Frodo and Sam move the ring closer to Mordor.
Gandalf: How do we know that Frodo is alive?
Aragorn: What does your heart tell you?
Gandalf: That Frodo is alive….Yes. He is alive.
Next scene
Outside we see Aragorn smoking. The camera spins around his head, and now we see a person in a hooded cloak. Aragorn walks up to it, it is Legolas.
Legolas: The unavailing of the stars…..(I do not remember what he says) The eye of the enemy is moving.

We are now in a small room, with the gang on sleeping on the floor, and Gandalf sitting on the bed. Pippin gets up, and heads towards Gandalf. Merry wakes up.
Merry: Pippin! What are you doing!
Pippin continues until he is front of Gandalf, who is looking strait at him. Pippin waves his hands in front of Gandalf, and he doesn’t move, he is sleeping with his eyes open. Gandalf is holding the palantir that he took from Pippin in his arms. Merry reaches out to take it.
Gandalf: Barahrumm (sleep talk)
Merry gets a pitcher from a near by table. He slowly takes the palantir from Gandalf, and than puts the pitcher in its place. Pippin walks away, where he sets the palantir down, and spreads the cloth apart.
Merry: Pippin! Put it back!
Pippin lays his hands on the palantir, the palantir begins to glow, and soon the Eye of Sauron appears in it. Pippins hands get stuck to the palantir like metal on a magnet. He is twisting around, trying to let go.
Merry: Pippin!(woried)
Back outside with Legolas and Aragorn…
Legolas: He is here!
The two turn around and run inside.
Merry: Help! Someone help!
Gandalf wakes up, and at the same time Aragorn and Legolas rush in. Aragorn takes the palantir from pippin, but faints under the great power, and lets go. The palantir is now rolling on the floor. Gandalf bends over and grabs a cloth, and throws it over the palantir.
Gandalf: Fool of a Took!
Gandalf looks over at Pippin. Pippin is lying on the floor frozen. Gandalf puts his hand over Pippin’s forehead, and whispers a spell of some sort. Pippin “wakes up”
Pippin: Gandalf. I’m sorry. I saw…I saw a tree, in a courtyard of stone., it was burning.
Gandalf: Minas Tirith, is that what you saw!?
Pippin: I saw…
Gandalf: What else did you see!
Pippin: I saw him!
Gandalf: What did you tell him!
Pippin: He asked me my name…I didn’t tell him.
Gandalf: What did you tell him about Frodo and the Ring!
Next scene
We are now in Meduseld, with Theoden, Aragorn, Merry, Pippin, and the others.
Gandalf: There was no lie in Peregrin’s eys. A fool! But a honest fool. But out of all this, we got a taste of Sauron’s plan, to attack Minas Tirith. He has also learned that it will not go unchallenged, he has discovered there is strength, and courage to be found of men. And the heir of Isildur has awoken. He will raise Minas Tirith to the ground before he sees the world uniting under one throne! Understand…Things are now in motion that cannot be undone. If sauron wins, his victory will be so terrible that none can see the end of it. Theoden…if the beacons of Gondor are lit, you must ride.
Theoden: Tell me…why should we ride to the aid of those who did not come to ours?
Everybody turns to Theoden
Aragorn: I will go!
Gandalf goes up to Aragorn quickly and begins to whisper softly:
Gandalf: No! You must come to Minas Tirith another way. The black ships.
Next scene
Merry and Pippin are outside at Edoras, following Gandalf towards the Stables.
Merry: You always look! Why do you always have to look!
Pippin stops walking while Merry keeps going.
Pippin: I don’t know. I’m sorry all right!
Merry turns around and walks up to Pippin
Merry: Don’t you understand!? The enemy thinks you have the ring! They’ve got to get you out of here Pip.
Pippin: And your coming too, right?
Merry does not answer, and walks into the stables, Pippin follows.
Pippin: How long is it to Minas Tirith?
Gandalf lifts Pippin onto Shadowfax.
Gandalf: Three days as the Nazgul flies, and we better hope we don’t have one of those on our tail.
Merry walks up to Pippin, holding a package of some sort.
Merry: Here, its for the trip.
Pippin: The last of the Longbottom leaf!
Merry: You ran out. You smoke to much Pip.
Pippin: We’ll see each other again, right?
Merry begins to cry.
Merry: I don’t know, I don’t know what’s going to happen.
Gandalf: Run Shadowfax! Show us the meaning of haste!
Shadowfax takes off and runs out of the stable, out of Edoras, and across the plain. Merry runs up some stairs, pushes a guard out of the way, Aragorn chases after Merry. They get to the top of the stairs, and is now at a platform. They look and watch as Gandalf and Pippin ride away.
Next scene
We are now with Sam, Frodo, and Smeagol. They are on some rock by a pond. Smeagol is talking in his sleep:
Smeagol: Kill them! Kill them! Kill them both!
Smeagol wakes up
Smeagol: Shhhhhhhh! Quiet! You’ll wake Hobbitses up!
Smeagol walks/crawls to the edge of the edge of large rock, overhanging the pond. He leans over, and we see his reflection(Gollum). Gollum then begins his conversation with Smeagol.
Gollum: What’s it saying, my precious my love? Whats it saying?
Smeagol: Smeagol wants to see them….dead. No! No! To risky! Precious will be ours.
Gollum: You did it before.
We see a quick flashback of Smeagol choking Deagol.
Gollum: You can do it again.
Smeagol: No! No!
Gollum: She could do it.
Smeagol: Yes, yes. We could let heeerrrrr do it. We take them to the stairs.
Gollum: And then?
Smeagol: Up up up! And then to tunnel. She’s always hungry.
We see Sam’s eyes open, and we hear Smeagol talking about “Her” liking Hobbits, and taking off the cloths and bones.
Gollum: And then?
Smeagol: Take the Precious is for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Gollum: For us!
Smeagol: Yes, yes…for us. Once the Hobbitses are dead..
Smeagol drops a small rock into the pond, causing ripples in the water. Out of the ripples appear Sam.
Sam: You miserable maggot!
Sam slams Smeagol on the head with one of his pots. Sam continues to beat Smeagol. Frodo wakes up.
Frodo: Sam! Stop!
Frodo holds Sam back. Sam stops beating Smeagol.
Sam: He means to murder us!
Smeagol: Never! Smeagol wouldn’t hurt a fly!
A fly lands on Smeagol head, and Smeagol squishes it. Smeagol looks at the dead fly.
Smeagol: Ahhhhhhh!!!
Sam: You don’t see it do you? He’s a villain! He’s leading us into a trap!
Frodo: I’m not sending him away! Not without a guide. I need you on my side Sam.
Sam: I’m on your side Mr. Frodo.
Frodo: I know Sam. I know. Come Smeagol.
Frodo stretches out his arm to Smeagol, Smeagol comes forth, putting his hand in Frodo’s. They start to walk. Smeagol turns around, and gives a evil grin to Sam.
Next scene
We are now in the plains, Gandalf and Pippin are riding on Shadowfax. They cross a large creek.
Gandalf: We just past into the realm of Gondor!
We now see Shadowfax run on a hill, the camera moves up, and as it does, we see the capital of Gondor, Minas Tirith. They ride though the city, around turns and up stairs, until they arrive at the top level. The get off Shadowfax, and begin to walk to the entrance to see Denethor. They walk past the Tree of Gondor.
Pippin: The tree! That’s the tree I saw burning!
Gandalf: Yes I know! Know come on.
They are now before the doors.
Gandalf: It is important that you know, that Boromir, is Denethor’s son. To give him news of his beloved sons death would be ill news. Also, do now give him news of Aragorn, or the ring. In fact…it would be better if you didn’t speak at all.
Gandalf and Pippin walk through the large doors, and enter the great white hall, beside the Kings seat, is seated Denethor, in a large black chair, bending over and holding Boromir’s horn, split in two.
Gandalf: Hail Denethor! Lord, and Steward of Gondor.
Denethor: Have you come to explain what happened to my son?
We see Pippin’s face, and then a flashback to Boromir defending the Hobbits at Amon Sul, and the Boromir being shot 3 times. Pippin moves forward, and neals in fron of Denethor saying:
Pippin: Boromir died defending us. I offer my services in his stead.
Gandalf pushes the foolish Hobbit aside.
Gandalf: Get up! You can grieve about your son later, you have more urgent needs to fulfill. The enemy is at your doorstep!
Denethor: You think you are wise Mithrandir, but for all of you subtleties, you do not have wisdom. With your left hand you would defeat the armies of Mordor, and with your right you would aid another to the throne. Oh yes, I have seen more than you know. I know who rides with Theoden.
Gandalf: The return of the King is not yours to deny!
Gandalf and Pippin walk away, and out of the hall.
