Orlando Bloom prefers sushi and sake to Miranda Kerr
ORLANDO Bloom preferred sinking sake with his mates over being front row with his supermodel girlfriend Miranda Kerr at last week's Australian Fashion Week.
While his girl, Victoria's Secret model Miranda fulfilled her duties for David Jones, sitting front row with the rest of the retail giant's crew at Thursday night's sass & bide show, the spunky Brit actor spent the night at a swanky Sydney sushi bar called Sushi e – just down the road from AFW's headquarters at Circular Quay.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star dined with friend and Aussie actor Joel Edgerton and his 22-year-old girlfriend and together the group knocked back four bottles of sake – a potent Japanese alcoholic beverage – and several orders of sushi.
Dressed down in a black-and-white T-shirt and jeans and sporting unkempt hair, Bloom attracted a considerable amount of attention from a blonde female waitress, who was at his table any chance she could get – even hitting the sake shots with the group.
When asked why he hadn't attended any shows at AFW, Bloom said he would "rather be here drinking sake".
It had been rumoured Bloom would make an AFW appearance.
By the time the group left the restaurant, Qconfidential understands Bloom was well lubricated and gave the table's pretty waitress a kiss on the side of her lips on his way out. Perhaps Kerr now wishes she had stayed by her beau's side.
