[原创]高中英语词组记忆——庆祝我的2000贴

[move]撒花Ing~~这是喇叭的第2000贴～～谢谢各位大人来捧场～～  [/move]

上高中的大人一定知道，英语考试总是拿一些和相似的词组来考，为了对付考试，大家只能开始背词组。但是词组不是死记硬背的，一是因为这样背诵效率不高；二是因为，即使背下来了，这些词组也不会用。最好的背词组的方法就是把词组放在句子中来学习。

喇叭根据高中常见的相似词组和本身对指环王的花痴，编写了这部“教材”——高中英语词组记忆（魔戒版）。喇叭造了许多关于魔戒的句子，将词组融入其中；这样不仅可以轻松记忆，而且也有一定乐趣～～（汗，就是我的花痴句子……）

希望能对大人们有用！

喇叭给这个“教材”设计了两个封面，拿不准用哪一个～～  

喇叭

Bring
1 bring about  引起（事故、变化等）
  I don’t know how TLOR brought about the change in my thought.

2 bring along  
1)        拿……来 ，带人来
Bring the ring along!
2)        = bring on

3 bring around
1)        bring sb around to sw 把（人）带来
2)        说服（人）使赞同 to + 名
After a long discussion they were brought around to our point of Legolas.  

4 bring away 带回（记忆等）
  I brought away wonderful memories of ROTK in cinema.

5 bring back  
1)        带回……，买回……，归还（借的东西），送回……
Bring me the Elvish genomes back from the middle-earth.
2)        （事物）使记起…  
The pretty boy brings me back Legolas.
3)        恢复（习惯、制度）
After the war, the old way of living can not be brought back for every one.
4）bring sb back to 生命、健康n  使（人）恢复  
Aragon brought Faramir back to life.

6 bring down
1)        把…卸下，降下，搬下
You can’t bring the ax of Gimly down alone.
2)        击落，射落（鸟、飞机）
Legolas bring Saruman down from the tower of sengard.
3)        使（物价）下跌，使（人）让价，减价to n
I won’t bring the ring down to such a low price.
4） 招致（麻烦等） on sb
Pip brought down on the fellowship of the ring in Moria.

7 bring forward  
1)        提出（问题、证据、提案等），提议…
Now I’d like to bring forward the questions of the ring.
2) 将（日期）提前
   Saron tried to bring the date of starting the war to Middle-Earth forward, but he didn’t prepare it well yet.

8 bring off  
1)        （从失事船上）救出（人）
You will never have the chance to bring off Legolas from the ship into the west, because they won’t lose forever.
2)        圆满完成（困难的事），办完，使实现
The fellowship of the ring brought off the rescue of middle-earth.

9 bring on  
1)        使发生，引起（疾病）等，导致
The power of the ring brought on the cruel wars.
2)        促进（植物的）成长；使（人、学识）提高
Tolkien’s works bring on my knowledge.
The magic soil which was given by Galadrial to Sam brought on the wonderful plants in Shire after the peace which came again.

10 bring out  
1)        把…带出来
Frodo，bring out the ring !
2)        使…问世，出版（书籍），推出新产品
Tolkien had brought out 3 books before his death.
3)        显现出…；（意义）明白表示出来；阐释，说明；显露，发挥（才华、个性等）；（草木）开花
The ring brought out the greedy characters of human.
Orlando, bring out to us! Bloom now!

11 bring over
1)        （从外国等）带过来（人等）
When will you bring Legolas over to me?
2)        （说服）使改变（立场、想法），把…争取过来 to n
Let’s bring the treebeard over to our side.

12 bring through 使（人）渡过（困难、危机等）；救活
The power of the ring always brings me through any difficulties in the true life.

13 bring to 使（人）复生，使人恢复知觉
The return of the king can bring to sick people.

14 bring together 集合、召集；使（对立的人、派别）和解
Erlond brought together elf and dwarf.

15 bring under 镇压、制服（叛徒等）
   Gandalf brought under Grima in Rohan to save Theoden.

16 bring up
1)        养育（婴孩）；教养（孩子）to do
Argon was brought up by his mother to face his responsibility.
2)        提出（话题）  
Elond brought up his suggestion before the war of the ring.
3)        bring sb up against 使（人）面对（讨厌的事） 多用被动语态
I was brought up against the high price of Tolkien’s boo

1)        送掉、赠送
Bilbo gave his sting away to Frodo.
2)        (不经意地)泄漏（秘密等）；告密to
His eyes gave away his desire for \ to get the ring.
3)        丢掉、错过（良机等）
I can’t give away the opportunity to finish my work for LOTR before I am on grade 3.
4)        （结婚仪式中等）将（新娘）交给新郎
At the coronation of Aragon, Elrond gave Arwen away to him.

2 give back
1)        归还、恢复
Sam gave the ring back to Frodo \gave Frodo back the ring after he was saved.
2)        反射（声音、光线）
The light that was given back by the mirror of Galadriel is so mystic and attractive.

3 give in
1)        屈服于、投降于（感情、压力、请求等）
Elrond gave in and promised Arwen to leave over.
2)        提出… to  
I gave in my plans of articles to Usadi.

4 give off 放出（烟、光、气味等），散发
These bodies of orcs gave off a terrible smell, even dwarf can’t igore it!

5 give out
1)        分配，分发
I wanted to give out the message that ROTK won 11 Academy Awards to every one.
2)        发表、公布（消息）
It was gave out that PJ possibly would direct The Hobbits.
3)        放出、发出（声音、光线、气味等）
The elves can give out a charming light in the darkness.
4) （食物、燃料、力量等）用尽、用完；筋疲力尽  
Sam had planed the food everyday so that Lambas wouldn’t give out before they arrived Mordor.
Sam and Frodo had given out , but they kept on going.  

6 give over
1)        交付、托付 to sb
Gandalf gave over the burden of bearing the ring to Frodo.
2)        give oneself over to 委身（纵情）于
The fellowship gave themselves over to grief after the fall of Gandalf.
3)        be given over to 沉迷于 ;留出，把…留作特定用途 (to doing sth)
Saruman was given over to power.
The first chapters of the book LOTR are given over to analyzing the historical background.
   
7 give up
1)        戒除（习惯等）；放弃（尝试、想法）
  Aragon told son of Hama that they shouldn’t give up hope any time before the beginning of the fighting of Helmet’s Deep.
2)        give sb up 放弃（病人等），对…放弃希望；不再指望sb到来
Denethor had given Faramir up for many years, though he was as excellent as Boromir.
3)        停止（工作等）；放弃，舍弃（信仰等）；和（恋人，友人）断绝关系
Saruman gave up his religion to nature.
4)        认输，投降；中止，放弃
Sam told Frodo that they couldn’t give up halfway.
5)        give up on sb\sth 对…表示绝望，放弃…
I gave up on some people who bespatter LOTR; they will never know the worth of Tolkien and his works.

Aragon,Legolas and Gimli keep after orcs to save Merry and Pipn.

I had to keep her after to finish the book of LOTR.

2 keep at
1)        继续做…
If you want to know more about the Middle-earth, keep at it.
2)        让某人继续做下去 keep sb at
I will keep my close friend at LOTR.

3 keep away
1)        避开，离开 ＋ from
You’d better keep away from Legolas, or you will be crazy about him.
2)        使…不靠近 ＋ from
Humans who are so easily seduced should be kept away from the one ring.

4 keep back
1)        后退，使…后退；…离开，使…离开；阻止（人）靠近 ＋ from
The brave soldiers of Gondor kept the evil army away.
2)        抑制（感情）
I couldn’t keep back my tears when I saw Theoden die.
3)        隐瞒… ＋ from 对人
Legolas couldn’t keep the bad news about Aragon back from Eowen.
4)        不付钱（给）某人 ；（…）从扣除（钱）
Elrond wouldn’t keep back the salary of his underlings towards meals.

5 keep down
1)        伏卧身体，蹲下；使（声音、头）压低
Legolas kept down his voice to tell Aragon the danger he felt.
2)        抑制（价格、数量）；压抑（怒气、体重）
There is no way to keep down the number of orcs, except the ring could be destroyed.
Legolas couldn’t keep down his anger when Eomer treaded Gimli so rudely.
  It is funny to keep elvish weight down.
3)        压制（人）；不让（杂草、害虫、疾病）增多，变严重；不吐出（食物、药）
Eowyn had been kept down by her surroundings and standing.  

6  keep…from
1) keep sb from 不使（人）做…；不要做…
   The faith of faramir kept himself from making a serious mistake of taking the ring for his own.
2) keep from sb (故意地)不让（人）知道
How can we manage to keep the news from Saron?   
4)        keep from doing 避免做…；谨慎做…
You should try to keep from spending too much time on the ring.

7 keep in
1)        闭门不出；把（人）关在（家中），（放学后）使（学生）留在学校
Denethor kept himself in , for he was mad completely.
2)        抑制（怒气）
Legolas managed to keep his anger to Boromir.
3)        （火）继续燃烧  
4)        贮存
Lambas can be kept in for mouths.

8 keep in with ［口］受人欢迎；与人和好相处
Legolas kept in with so many girls that this actor,Orlando Bloom began to be famous.
The friendship between Legolas and Gimly proved that elfs and dwarfs should keep in with each other.

9 keep off
1)        使…离开；…离开；…不接近：使…不接近
Keep your hands off the ring!!!
2)        不下（雨、雪）vi
I do wish it kept off when the fellowship passed the hill.
3)        不提及…；不触及
Gandalf told pip that he must keep off the death of Boromir.
4)        不碰（酒、食物）；不吃
Gullom kept off Lambas.

10 keep out  vt vi 不进去，不使入内；（使）…留在外面  
The fellowship couldn’t keep the orcs out in Moria.

11 keep out of
1)        置身…之外；对…不接近；从…离开
Keep out of the world of the ring ,or you will fail.
2)        避免（麻烦）；为了不卷入…
Because of the ring,nobody kept out of the quarrels in Riverdell.
Gandalf had tried to keep Frodo out of the burden of bearing the ring.

12 keep to
1) 不离开（位置、场所），留在（某处）
  I keep to the theme of the ring every day when I am free.
3)        遵守（约定、规则）
The power of the ring didn’t keep Boromir to his promise.
4)        keep to oneself  vi  不与他人交往
Gullom kept to himself for five hundred years.

13 keep …to oneself
1)        保密，不把…告诉别人
Please keep the news about the ring to yourself.
2)        将…仅供自己使用，（独自）自由地使用
Everyone wants to keep the ring to him\herself.

14 keep…under 压制、抑制
  I managed to keep my feelings under before I saw ROTK.

15 keep up
1)        （价格、工资等）保持高水准；（士气）不低落，使不气馁
Aragon tried to keep the soldiers of Rohan up in the Helm’s Deep.
2)        （天气）保持不变，持续
I want to know if the weather would keep up after the fellowship went back.
3)        （不中断地）继续（努力、攻击、付款），维持（关系）
The power of the ring made the fellowship couldn’t keep up.
4)        keep sb up  使（人）熬夜，使不睡觉
FOTR kept me who just began my journey of the ring up for almost 5 consecutive days.

16 keep up with 不落在…后面
  Aragon and Legolas run so fast that Gimli couldn’t keep up with them.
  
17 for keeps ［口］永远地
  I will love middle-earth for keeps.

1 leave alone 丢下…不管，不理会，不干涉
  Boromir couldn’t leave Pipn and Merry alone, so he tried to protect them and lost his life.

2 leave behind
1)        遗留，忘记携带
I’ve left my heart behind in middle-earth.
2)        追过
Almost all the fantasy films were left behind by LTOR.
3)        超过，通过
The beautiful sight of Lothlorien was soon left behind.
4)        留下（痕迹、遗产等）
Boromir left a strong memory behind (him).

3 leave sb cold 使（某人）不感兴趣、冷淡  
  The death of Boromir left nobody cold.  

4 leave off  
1）（使）停止、结束
When will my love to Legolas leave off?
2) 不再穿、不再使用
We left off the ring, for it was destroyed.
3) 省去…；脱掉…；leave…off 从…去除
Nobody can leave the contribution of PJ off the success of the films TLOR.

5 leave out
1)        漏（写）…；省去，删…
I don’t allow myself to leave out any details of the TLOR,
2)        不考虑、忽视
Don’t leave out the great author of TLOR!

6 leave over
1)        留下，剩下… （常用被动）
The ring was left over by Isildur who was reduced by its power.
2)        延长、延期…
The death of Gullom was left over by the ring that gave him unnatural long life.

7 leave sb to oneself(to sb’s own devices) 让某人自便
If you shouldn’t forget the one ring, I should leave you to youself! I’ve got it!!

1)        照顾，管理
Sam ,the gardener of Frodo, took his master after all through\throughout his life.
2)        目送、用眼睛追踪巡视
I am so despaired to gaze the ship voyaging into the west.

3 look ahead 看前面；考虑未来
  There are some doubts weather I am supported to give up LOTR to look ahead.

4 look at  
1)        看，眺望，朝…看
2)        （以某种观点）看，考虑，看待
I began to look at my thoughts to Boromir when he died.
3)        检查，检讨
After the wars for the ring, humans should look at our easily corrupted heart.
4)        理睬，接受（食物、提案等）
I wouldn’t look at such a flimflam comment on LOTR.
5)        好好地考虑，仔细看（命令句，常表示厌恶、不愉快）
Look at that! How dare you say Boromir is not a hero?

  I couldn’t look away from Legolas when he appeared in Riverdell.

Eowyn looked back at Aragon meaningfully.

1) 俯视（＝ look up to ）
Looked down on, Riverdell looks like a paradise.

We shouldn’t look down upon Gullom; he was tragical hero.

Never try to look for a boyfriend like Legolas!!!
2）希望得到
As the race of men, who above all else desire power, every one look for the one ring.

9 look in
1)        向内探视
I tried to look in the casket to see if there is the one ring.
2)        顺路访问 ( + on sb\ at sw)
Gandalf looking in on Bilbo makes Bilbo’s neighbors felt uncomfortable.

10 look …in the eye\face
1)        正视
Legolas looked Theoden straight in the eye.
2)        勇敢地面对（死亡、敌人等）
Aragon looked the enemy of Isengard in the eye.

11 look into  
1) 注视…的内部
2）调查、检查
Gandalf went to Isengard to look into the truth of the one ring.

12 look on
1)        旁观
All beings of Middle-earth shouldn’t look on when one race was
