· He stars in one of the year’s most enjoyable movies.

That would be Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl, a swashbuckling hit with the LIME team. In this period action-adventure, Orlando plays an orphaned swordsmith who joins forces with a flamboyant pirate (Johnny Depp) to rescue his childhood sweetheart. Although he describes his part as a “boring hero-type role” we beg to differ. Gallant, gentlemanly and very handy with the sword, he’s the hero every girl dreams of! An unexpected hit in the US, Pirates raked in US$70 million in a matter of five days.
· He’s got a fan in Brad Pitt.
When LIME interviewed Brad in London, the sexy superstar couldn’t stop raving about Orlando. “He’s a gem. A very, very strong actor and really, really generous guy. I think he’s a special kid.” How does Brad know Orlando? Both are starring in upcoming epic drama Troy (due for release next year). In this period blockbuster, Orlando plays Prince Paris of Troy who sparks off a bloody battle when he steals another man’s wife!
· He’s genuinely talented thespian
His love for acting began in St Edmund’s School in his hometown of Canterbury Kent. Recalls a former drama teacher:”Evan at 14 or 15 , he was getting lead roles against people who were 17 or 18 . Its easy to think He’s a good-looking chap and that’s why he’s getting roles in Hollywood, but he is a very good character actor.” By the time he was 16, Orlando joined the National Youth Theatre in London and earned a scholarship to train with the British American Drama Academy . As if that wasn’t enough, he devoted three years of his life to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

· He’s Been in a few good show
Perhaps you’ve Heard of The Lord Of The Ring trilogy? Orlando landed the role of Legolas in the cinematic masterpiece straight after graduating from Guildhall and spent the next 18 months filming in New Zealand . As you well know , his portrayal of the blond elf won him scores of female admirers, who will no doubt trample to the cinemas this December to see their idol in the third Ring Installment, the Return Of The King . He also starred opposite Josh Hartnett in Critically acclaimed war drama Black Hawk Down , although he may not have been easily recognizable , what with that nasty buzz-cut.

· He’s got more movie coming up!
Apart from Tory , the 26-year –old Brit upstart will be lending his star presence to Ned Kelly , a testosterone-charged flick about the legendary Aussie outlaw. He also takes on his first lead role in the Calcium Kid , A Brit comedy-thriller about a milkman who becomes a boxer.

· He’s a good mate
While filming The Kelly Gang with Aussie actors Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts, Orlando took delight in playing Cupid. Not Only did he help bring the pair together , he often acted as a decoy by arriving with Heath at clubs and disappearing soon after, leaving his pal to romance Naomi in the VIP area. Wondering about Orlando’s own affairs of the heart? It’s bad news, girls. Our man is currently dating Kate Bosworth , the body-beautiful surfer chick in Blue Crush.

· He’s not spoilt by success yet

Although his career I son the up and up (he won the 2002 MTV Movie Award foe Breakthrough Male)Orlando is philosophical about his break . referring to himself and fellow Brit actress Keira Knightley, his Pirates co-star , Orlando has this to say :”I trained in a class of very talented actors, and everyone has an area of excellence. It’s just a question of when they get to show it . certainly, the opportunities for both us came early on”. Insisting on keeping things “real”, this rising still a zooms around London on his bike and hasn’t upgraded to a country manor or anything . and guess what ? he think his legions of female followers are cool. And sweet . “Apparently there’s a lot of mad stuff on the internet – my mum keeps trying to tell me about it but I ask her not to.

很好的文章啊！MM很厉害，翻译的不错，但是我在这里吹毛一下，只发现两点不妥

1.He also starred opposite Josh Hartnett in Critically acclaimed war drama Black Hawk Down
他还在广受好评的战争片“黑鹰坠落”中与乔什哈奈特演对手戏！（注意opposite不是指反派角色）
2.He’s not spoilt by success yet不应该是“他还不是十分成功”而好象是指“他没有被成功冲昏头脑”

十万分谢谢枝俏的翻译，辛苦啦！！
越看orli的新闻越喜欢他，就冲他善良美好的本质偶就觉得他为人工作很不错，看看他老师和PITT哥哥对他的赞赏就知道了。
看来PITT哥哥也很喜欢orli，一颗悬着的心终于放下了。两个人关系还不错。为开花弟弟高兴！！
开花弟弟人缘还真不是一般的好，走到哪都讨人喜欢，不管是大名星还是工作人员。充分说明开花弟弟魅力十足，是个大大的好人！！偶们的眼光不错。

相比之下, 发现国内的电影杂志, 特别是某一本对OB的评价明显是在贬低~~
国外的杂志对OB评价的就很客观
