Bonner fencer trains Hollywood stars
Orlando Bloom (33) Milla Jovovich (34) and Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (53) to meet in person - for millions of people it's an unattainable dream. For the newly crowned European champion Imke Duplitzer Fencing (35), it is the reality.
For the athlete who starts for the OFC Bonn, teaches these and other film stars in the basics of fencing.
All three are filming for the movie "The Three Musketeers", which will come 2011 to the cinemas. "The production company, Constantin Film has talked to me, and so the collaboration came about," Duplitzer says.
"In the movie the fencing scenes shall come across as realistic, the producers didn't want only theatrical fencing. Therefore, we combine this with professional sports fencing, "says the 35-year-old.
For the now two-time European champion in epee fencing a big thing. "This is totally great and is great fun. Everyone participates great, the cooperation is quite straightforward."
For seven weeks she is at the shooting in Munich, Bamberg, Burghausen and Herrenchiemsee. Then she will be called when needed.
"Then I can't be longer on set every day, because then I'm in the preparations for the World Championship in Paris in November", so Duplitzer.
