During his teenage years, and years after Harry had died, Orlando discovered that his biological father was a family friend named Colin Stone. Harry Bloom was unable to father children, and as any good friend would do, Stone stepped up.
Bloom had his first feature-acting role in 1997 as a rent boy in Wilde, a biopic of Oscar Wilde. His first major role, from 2001, may be familiar to you. He played Legolas in the film Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
