Hey, Hollywood: Feeling the need to rock a red carpet? Hop a flight to London.
With the lingering writers' strike casting a cloud of uncertainty over next month's Oscars, Britain's BAFTAs could provide many actors with the only international platform to strut their stuff.
So perhaps it's no surprise that a clutch of heavy-hitters are expected to grace the glamorous Feb. 10 event.
Jessica Biel and Kate Hudson have signed on to present at the Orange British Academy Film Awards (along with England's own Orlando Bloom).
Meanwhile nominees Keira Knightley, Daniel Day-Lewis, James McAvoy and Viggo Mortensen are all expected to take their places at London's Royal Opera House.
Organizers are expected to release a final list of confirmed nominees and presenters in a few days.
Hollywood stars will be shining in the East of England as the new James Bond film is shot in Bucks and its environs while Pirates of the Caribbean heartthrob Orlando Bloom judges the work of budding Norwich film-makers.
Stunning Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko will be unveiled – figuratively speaking – as mysterious new Bond girl, Camille, as Pinewood Studios in Bucks starts shooting the new 007 movie, Quantum of Solace.
Orlando Bloom has meanwhile been casting his eyes over ‘Sufferers’ – a mini movie made by young people working with BEAT in Norwich that has been nominated in the Best Mediabox Film section of the First Light Movies Awards 2008.
